Clue: it is a verb of movement
The PROGRESSIVE FORM is used to describe something that is happening at the time of speaking and indicates a medium/long period. The PROGRESSIVE PRESENT is formed with the verb 'stare' plus the 'gerund'. So you can say, 'sto andando al lavoro'. There is also a PAST PROGRESSIVE that is formed with the imperfect, in fact you can say: 'ieri stavo andando al lavoro'. The FUTURE PROGRESSIVE also exists, but is used more rarely.
